Care

Black And Brown Jack Russell Puppies For Sale

Your dog is loaded with zeal and enthusiasm, and daily exercise is a must for this breed. Allow it to play all day to its heart’s content, take it out for walks or for runs, let it have fun with your kids, or just any healthy activities or games it likes like flyball, play rings, etc. This should also keep your dog mentally fit and happy, and help it to remain diverted from mental issues like separation anxiety.

The short coat of the cojack does not require vigorous grooming. They also do not shed much. Simply brush your dog a couple of times every week to get rid of dead hairs and dirt.

No breed specific health issues in particular, have been reported, except for those that are common to other breeds in general, or those that are genetically carried down.

Training

  • Channelise their agility in a positive way by teaching them any amusing trick like how to dance. Hold a foodstuff up and slightly behind your dog’s head and utter commands like ‘dance’ or ‘spin’. Your dog will stand up on its two hind legs. Start spinning the food around its nose, and then its head, so that it rotates its head round and round. Keep repeating the process frequently. However, refrain from this trick, if your dog has any problem with its hind feet.
  • To remove the fear of loneliness from your dog’s mind, prepare it right from its puppy days. Start leaving your house just for a few minutes, and then keep extending the time slowly, every day from 10 minutes to 20, and then 40 or an hour. Gradually your dog will learn to spend a complete 8-hour seclusion before you return home from work.
  • To help it get rid of stubbornness or stranger issues, keep your dog happy. Socialize it by taking it to public places and entertainment spots where it can meet lots of people, and experience new things. Take it to dog-friendly malls, dog parks, fairs, lakes, beaches, pet stores, just anywhere they are given entry.

I have a boy Sparky 5 months now

Jack Russell Black And White

Sparky weights about 25 lbs now he is almost 6 months old. and he looks just like your girl. We adopted him from SPCA and they said mom was a lab and dad JRT. He have sooo much energy drives me crazy in the house he will run back and forth and never gets tired. He jumps very high and loves to dig holes in our back yard, I don`t know what to try anymore to make him stop that. The only bad thing is that we have a very Pettite 2 yrs old girl that weight 22 lb. and Sparky loves to push her down and jump on her, and nipping-he is really clumsy too-( so as you might think its very exhausting for me to let him around the house without having to be right next to them!) over all he loves us and we love him , he is very smart and start wyning everytime any of the girls cry.We have been in training clases for 4 weeks now and he now sit, down, loose leash walks, drop, leave and take. The hardest part for him have been the stay and sitting when we get to the corner or ends of walks , and stop nipping!
